Hobbs is a reserve protecting rare and important species
Animals
Hobbs Nature Reserve is not only home to a variety of native species but is a haven for animals as well as serves as a sanctuary for migratory birds, particularly in Spring and Autumn. Volunteering and conservation efforts keep this diverse ecosystem in balance, allowing visitors a chance to connect with nature and witness the vibrant life cycles of the plants and animals that thrive there.
A small and ancient bit of woodland has survived, a tiny bit of forest but that supports a rich tapestry of biodiversity, offering unique habitats for a wide array of plants, animals, fungi, and microorganisms. Many of these species are highly specialised and can only thrive in undisturbed, old-growth conditions.
